I recently sold my 'House on the Hill' aka 'Oakwood Manor' and ended up regretting it since I still have a significant amount of collectible furniture left. I still enjoy collecting these adorable little things and I definitely couldn't part with my Christmas Holiday Lodge or Bluebell Cottage. And I have nothing left that I'd be willing to part with much beyond this.
While money remains tight, Christmas is already upon us once again and I really wanted to find something to be excited about. I've parted with so many of my own personal belongings since the start of all of this and I feel so brokenhearted. My original plan was to wallpaper and add decorative details to the previous house that I had. I still have all of the materials set aside and decided to pursue an affordable replacement.
...I ended up finding another vintage home for less than the one that had been sold. It's more of a complete set, whereas the other house had to be pieced together, had been superglued along the second floor landing and also had 3D printed steps. This one actually has the original steps, along with a side porch. I almost purchased another one without even realizing that the side porch had been absent on that particular model. It was far more expensive too. That one had been sparsely furnished and I think that had driven up the price. The front door and railings on that house were actually green and also matched the furniture.
